SSNCE has been highly ranked and very reputed educational institution in Tamilnadu, India, stands out as a premier center of higher learning with a mission of pursuing excellence in education and research.
The Department of Chemical Engineering was started in the year 2004. An area of 5400 sqm is dedicated to our department. The Chemical Engineering Department offers B.Tech degree programme in Chemical Engineering and M.Tech dgree program in Environmental Science & Technolgy and recognized as a research centre by Anna University, Chennai . The department has well-established laboratories. The department promotes research in areas like Abatement of Water Pollution, Nanotechnology, Green Solvent, Molecular Modeling, Post Combustion CO2 Capture, Process Development, Clean Coal Technology, Process Intensification using Ultrasound, Biomass Utilization, Advanced oxidation process and received a research grant worth Rs.67.35 Lakhs from DST-SERB, New Delhi, India.
This conference promotes the major themes of modern Chemical, Energy and Environmental Engineering. Modern Chemical Engineering processes involve advanced material science, process control strategies, environmental engineering and energy engineering. These fields have developed a lot in the past two decades. The research quest in these novel areas have yielded various attractive results that are beneficial for the development of humanity. This conference includes the plenary lectures from renowned key note speakers, oral/poster presentation sessions and an attractive social and cultural program. All the accepted papers will be published in the book of abstracts of the conference.
The conference will mainly focus on three main themes namely Chemical Engineering, Energy & Environmental Engineering.
The abstracts should be uploaded using the EasyChair link given in the conference website. At least one of the authors must have an user id in easychair website to access the given submission link. Otherwise they need to create an id in easychair website before submission of abstract.
Abstract should be not more than 400 words and must be containing title, name of author(s), name of Institution, Email ID (corresponding author), Mobile Number, keywords typed in MS word in A-4 size paper.
Font used should be of size 12 in Times New Roman with single spacing. Detailed instructions for authors to submit full-length paper and the procedure to complete registration will be notified after acceptance of abstracts. It is a must for at least one author to get registered for the conference.
In the abstract, the category (Oral / Poster) of presentation should be clearly mentioned.
The organizing secretariat reserves rights to make final decision in all matters related to the conference.
The selected papers will be published in Web of Science/Scopus/Thomson Reuters Indexed Journals.

Chennai has developed as one of the cosmopolitan cities in India that plays an important part in the cultural, intellectual and historical growth of India. Previously known as Madras, the city was renamed as Chennai afterwards.
Participants from abroad need to obtain their conference visa to attend the conference. In order to obtain their conference visa, the following two supporting documents are required along with the acceptance letter.
Buses passing though Kelambakkam or Thiruporur will pass through SSN.
Route 1:(Participants who arrive by Train to Egmore Station)
For those who are coming from South Tamil Nadu, it is informed that all the trains going to Chennai Egmore station stop at Tambaram. Tambaram bus stand is adjacent to Tambaram Railway station.
Those who are coming from south Tamil Nadu by bus also can get down at Perungulathur and then they can cross the road to reach the bus stop and take the following buses: Route no. from Tambaram to SSN College of Engineering: Route no.: 515 & 115 – Mamallapuram Route no. : 555, 55K & 566 – Thirupporur These buses will reach SSN college of Engineering via Tambaram and Perungulathur. It takes about 45-55 minutes to reach SSN College.
Route 2 (For Participants who arrive by Train to Chennai Central Station)
OPTION (Broadway to SSN College of Engineering)
Those who are coming from the North can use this route. At the gate of Chennai Central Railway station, you can board a bus to Broadway. Normally all the buses entering the central station and stopping at the bay will go to Broadway bus stand. It takes 4-6 minutes to reach Broadway. At Broadway bus stand you can take the following route buses to Kelambakkam (which is about 4 km. from the college). Route no. : 102, 221H – Kelambakkam Route no. : 521- Thirupporur It takes 1hr 30 minutes to reach Kelambakkam from Broadway. From Kelambakkam the participant can board any bus going towards Thirupporur / Mamallapuram and get down at SSN College of Engineering
Route 3 (For Participants who arrive by bus) * Koyambedu to SSN College of Engineering
Those who are coming from north Tamil Nadu by bus can use this route. At Koyambedu bus stand there are two systems – One is for Moffusel bus and the other one for the local bus. From Koyembedu Moffusel bus Stand you can board the bus (Route no 119) to Kalppakkam/Mamallapuram, which goes via SSN College of Engineering.
For boarding a local bus, that is just outside of the Koyembedu bus stand you can board the bus (Route no 570) to Kelambakkam. Both the buses cover the distance of about 1.30 hrs to 2 hrs depending on the traffic.
Route 4 (For Participants who arrive by flight to Chennai Airport)
Participants coming in flight can take bus airport to Tambaram /Guindy to Kelambakkam/Tiruporur to reach SSN. You can use OLA or Uber to further reach SSN.
